Show & Tell Gallery Info

The Show & Tell Gallery is a new addition to the RHGNS website.  It is an opportunity for members of the Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia to share images and stories of their completed projects as well as works in progress.  Show & Tell Gallery will be updated monthly.  Check out this month’s Show & Tell Gallery.

 

Interested in celebrating the completion of a project?  Or wanting to showcase a project you love that’s still in progress?  Forward images and information by the 21st of each month for inclusion the following month.

 

Appreciating that rug hookers are notoriously modest or self-critical about their creations, think of this instead as an opportunity to inspire others … from non-hookers to consider taking up the art & craft of hooking … to new hookers feeling a little frazzled with their current project … to long-time hookers trying to ignore the unfinished mat(s) curled up in their closet.  By sharing your work, you will be inspiring others to pick up the hook again and more importantly, to reconnect with something they enjoy doing and a community of like-minded people in the Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia who will support and encourage them.  

 

Submit via email or mail the following;

v Image*

v Include the name of the design, designer, rug hooker and year of completion*

v Anything you learned while doing it

v Who is it for

v Where is it going to live

v Any tips you want to share from the experience

v Anything that shares the story behind the piece
